it all depends on the oil changes and how hard the owner drove it, pull the oil pan and look for metal shavings. an pull a plug or two and do a compression test. if the motors worn out you'll know. i know a guy who changed oil every 4,000 miles and hes on 240,00 and no smoke what so ever. as long as theres no smoke at start up. and doesn't run hot it's a good sign.

if its been maintained and not beaten on on a regular basis.easily go 200,000 or more. recommend going through it when you buy it. inexpensive to have the wheel bearings checked and repacked. brakes checked. fuel and brake lines checked, oil changed,( i recommend only fully synthetic if you want it to last.) have the lube checked in the rearend, also may want to change the water pump if its original, they usually only last just about 100k miles. hope that helps roc on. i'm a ford guy tho.

Check out it's repair history...and look for the common problems
that may have already been repaired or one's that need repair...
Watch out for all of the little hidden things
ie... the heater core ( which is a small fortune to fix)
of course the engine, transmission, rear differential..
undercarriage rust...
door hinges...
things like that.....CHECK OUT THE ENTIRE CAR.....
If the previous owner showed good care and service records, it
may last you quite some time.
If it was abused and driven hard..... IT'S ALREADY TOAST....
Good luck to you....
