What functions does the clock spring control on a Chevy Equinox?

I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox that was in an accident in march 09. The clock spring was the only thing out of $6,000 worth of damage the insurance would not fix. I know it controls my airbag, cruise control, (along with all the bottons in my steering wheel for the radio), and my door locks (they lock when put in gear but wont unlock when in park or ignition is shut off). Now my driverside headlight is out. The little green light symbol on the dash flickers 3-4 times then goes out. I know its not the bulb in the headlight cause the orange turn signal light is out too. Can the clock spring cause this too? What else does the clock spring control?
