Should we get Chevy Aveo or a Kia Soul? Help! Need info!?

We drive about 140 miles a day so high mpg is really important.
We don't want it to look weird.(:
Price is a definite concern. Preferably under $15,000.
Roomy is great.
I personally prefer a hatchback trunk.

Which brand is a better car, like which will be very reliable? Kia or Chevy?

What should we doooo?

Well, the reason for those is that we were in an unexpected car wreck and totaled our car about 3 weeks ago and totaled our car. Also, we hit a deer around February and totaled a car. So we now have two car payments now. So money is tight. We're going for cheap&reliable.

Kia is one of those brands that come out onto the american market really fast and sell cheap cars. These cars usually aren't reliable. I'd go with the chevy.

The Aveo is actually a Daewoo product. I wouldn't touch one after seeing, driving and reading the owner reviews. Kia is making strides to improve quality but again they are a low end vehicle which does not have a good reputation. There are others available that would serve you better. Check sources like Edmunds.com for what is available and see what owners have to say about them.
