Just yesterday, my car started to make a thud and a decent jump when being shifted from park into reverse. Shifting up from there, you feel minor jolts from R to N, N to D, but then from D to 1,2, or 3rd - you feel nothing. Then shifting down from 3,2,1,D,N; you feel nothing. However, as soon as you shift down back into reverse, it jumps again.
What could the problem be?
