04 Chevy Trailblazer Back Cargo Floor Cpmpartment Fills With Water?

The back floor cargo compartment fills with water. The back hatch seal is not leaking. The floor around the cargo compartment is dry. The lid that covers the compartment is dry. I pulled the carpet and padding up and the metal is dry and so is the padding just the carpet is wet. It is very strange everything is dry except inside the bin. It will get wet enough that there will be standing water about one inch or so. Please help.

I had one do this on my lot it sounds crazy but the leak came from the brake light on top of the liftgate.

The bottom of the rear storage bin is a composite material underneath. I'm going to speculate that if you put your Trialblazer up so you can see underneath and remove the spare tire, that you will find where something was kicked up by your front tire and has caused a small hole or crack in the composite material. When you are driving, water from the front tires is spraying into the fault, forcing water into the compartment but with no pressure, it is not draining very quickly. Once found should be easily repairable with some silicone or epoxy.
