...trade me for a 69 Chevelle!!? I know this is hard with no pics, but both cars are almost show room condition. My impala is black with 350 motor and the Chevelle is red with black rally strips, scoop hood, its an SS clone, Bishoff engine service engine build, has a shift kit with stall converter. I think it may have a 396, i have to ask him! Should I trade? Which is worth more?

If your impala is original and not a clone it is worth alot more than a clone, no matter what kind of clone it is. If the numbers match on your impala ( engine, tranny, and chassis) then you've got a real treasure. Check out the Jackson Barrett car auctions on the Speed Channel. Some of these old cars that are in mint condition go for over $200,000. You can get a clone built by a profesional garage for under 50k in most cases.

They both pretty much equal in value, provided they're both in the same condition. Personally I'd go for the Chevelle. My first car was a '69 Chevelle (road runner orange w/ black vinyl top). It had a 396, which was juiced to the hilt and one of the fasted cars in the county. However, the 396 burnt a lot of oil. I used to carry the 2-gallon container of 10W-40 in my trunk.

Good Luck! Trade for the Chevelle!!!!
