There is a part that is made of brass, in the back of the motor with a hole thru the intake manifold for it to go thru. It has either an AC line or coolant line connected to it. What is the name of this part? Thank you.

If the line in question is connected to the intake (stuff in line flows in to or out of intake manifold) then it would have to be coolant.
My first thought is what your looking for is a quick-connect fitting for the coolant line that goes from the engine to the heater core.
Could you post a link to a picture, or be more descriptive of the location of the part in question?
Follow the line and see where it goes (what is connected on the other end?).
Edit...
Another thought. It is the connection for the vacuum for the brake booster.

It is a heater fitting if im thinking of the same part your trying to describe. I put a link below to a picture of one, but the replacement one is not brass.
